I’m well behind the posting schedule here and wasn’t going to post at all, but I can’t help myself. I really love blogging and sharing my ideas.
I’ve been on the fence while about but I’ve finally decided I do like Peter Pan Collars.
A flat, round-cornered collar, named after the collar of the costume worn in 1905 by actress Maude Adams in her role as Peter Pan and particularly associated with little girls’ dresses.

Maude Adams as Peter Pan
They have a very sweet element about them which I think stems from their use in dresses for young girls. I often see gorgeous smocked dresses with Peter Pan collars.
There isn’t much variation these days with the collar itself but definitely the rest of the garments have a wide range of styles to choose from.
It can be simple, sweet and casual or go well beyond that into the realms of sexy with a sheer top like below.
Adore the peter pan. Love the you can als buy it seperatley so you can add it to anything you want. Check it out on ASOS next time your hanging around. π
Oh my, this dress – http://www.polyvore.com/amelia_dress/thing?id=50818396 – is SO pretty. I don’t know if I could pull something like that off, though.
You girls are making me realise that I’ve been getting around in daggy t-shirts and jeans or shorts ever since my baby was born, and I really miss dressing nicely on a normal day.
Amy and I had this little idea of a Mummy Makeover … *puts on thinking cap*

I think we can come up with something super practical, super afordable and super stylish for you! π
Although, you would be so easy to start with, you areso beautiful we wouldnt have to do much. π
Awww girls π Don’t get me wrong, I love my pop culture t-shirts, but I do miss the semi-corporate dress-ups from my old office job. The biggest issue I have at the moment is budget! I might be able to twist husband’s arm to help me buy some new things if I went through our wardrobe and cleared out the old things that are too big, too small, misshapen, damaged, or that I just plain can’t stand the sight of, and said “See? I DO need new things!”
One day in the near-ish future I’d love to come to Sydney for a catch up and some face-to-face advice π
