Today’s challenge has given me a little bright spark for the day, I’ve been home sick with a cold! Yuck.
When the girls suggested we do a food inspiration outfit I immediately knew what I want to do….
Watermelon to me is very refreshing and the colours of a watermelon are quiet striking together, which is why I wanted use this for my inspiration.
Now I could have just found a dress with some sort of watermelon pattern, but that was way to easy for my liking. Although there are some pretty gosh darn cute outfits out there.
That is pretty damn cute eh!? Bless you internet for providing with such epic cuteness. By the way, if you click on that gorgeous little girl it will take you through to someone’s blog. They made that dress!
I want to grasp the most prominent colours and create an outfit which didn’t take the food inspiration challenge too literal.
So this is what I came up with:
It’s something I would definitely wear. I think it’s very cute and not overpowering with lots of strong colours. I wanted to keep most of the pieces in more muted tones and add in a few richer colours, the jeans and the wrap bracelet.
What do you think?
Those colours go so well together
I love these colours together.
Super cute! I love that little girl’s dress. I bought one in that style for my goddaughter and they’re easy to care for too!
Thanks Smoph. I adore that munchkin dress, she looks so darn cute.
Love this idea! Food and fashion combined, what more could you want? Haha. I love the outfit you’ve chosen, those colours work so well together!
It’s such a neat idea. Amy and Bec are so awesome with their ideas, now I’m trying to think of other food inspired outfits. 😀
