Body Suits: Can I have a side of wedgies with that?

I love a good topic of debate. Most recently I asked whether or not hats had a place in modern fashion. Today I’m asking whether or not body suits are practical OR fashionable.

As someone with a few more curves than the average ‘I only consume 800 calories a day’ model, I wonder whether body suits would look fab and just highlight the flab!

I also wonder how toileting goes? I mean, seriously, that will be the day the lock on the toilet door doesn’t work and Ryan Gosling* walks in!

*Okay, maybe that would be *so* bad… So many pick up lines, so little time.

You’re welcome!

Would wedgies be a concern too? I mean, I do a lot of bending (hurr hurr), stretching, lifting and climbing in my job that by the time I was finished they would be so far up my arse I could use them as tooth floss.
Do you wear undies with it? I mean, do you double up or go some weird version of commando?
Would they not encourage cameltoes?
Would they make you boobies look WEIRD? My boobies look weird in one-piece swimmers. Kind of flat and squishy and usually lopsided.

Anyway, all those questions aside; What do you think of these sets? Would you wear a body suit or are you happy to just tuck your shirt in like a normal, non body suit wearing, person!

I have to say I am in agreement with the positive reviews of RWB’s show for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

I love the Marvel heroes and I’m an avid fan of the films (especially the most recent one – The Avengers) so I was not shocked that I loved the show. I was pleasantly surprised by how wearable the pieces were however.

They are not for every one and granted I won’t be wearing any to work but they were fun. I have picked out some of my favourites to share below, despite being quirky they are really exciting. You can see more photos from the runway show here.

I love the use of bold colours and the creative use of graphic prints. I love how feminine and yet powerful the pieces are, like each one of the models became a super hero when she put on her outfit.

I fell in love with Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of The Hulk, I would totally wear his face on my shirt. These are some butt-kicking ensembles.

Fashion Challenge – Get the look for less

I have set a challenge for today’s post: recreate a whole celebrity look for less than the cost of one of their designer items.

If you are prepared to shop around it is possible to use your favourite celebrity as inspiration and pull together a similar look on a budget. It’s like Zoe, Kate or Reece are acting as your own personal stylist. For this post I have focused on relaxed or casual looks.

The key tip is to look for things that echo the over all aim of the look rather than focusing on getting something that almost perfectly matches their look, slight variation in colours, cuts and necklines are to be expected and of course might work out better for you in the long run, especially if you prefer a specific cut (ie V neck).

Let me know if you have any favourite celebrity styles you would like recreated on a budget and I will see if I can come up with some wallet friendly alternatives.

Lest we forget.
