Today’s challenge is to create a look inspired by a film and this is the direction I chose to go:

Some points about the elements I have included:

For Katniss it is important to keep it simple but deadly, and in this outfit you’ll be too busy kicking arse and taking names to focus on the little things.The silver accessories remind you of the parachutes that fall from the sky harbringers of  your salvation and the red symbolises the fire that motivates you to keep fighting and urges you on.

The print is primal and the shoes are fierce.

This is the outfit Katniss would wear to the capitol as a returning champion if by the end of book three she hadn’t sort of …. SPOILER …. been part of the team trying to destroy it. #TeamPeeta4lyfe

Summer Holiday

This time next week I’ll be on holiday and I am so excited about having a few days off and also the prospect of packing, yes packing.

I love the challenge of planning my outfits and creating as many looks as possible with as few items as humanly possible. I take it almost as a personal failure if I need any more than carry on luggage for a trip.

So my holiday staples are light, bright summer dresses, lots of flats, cute sandals and the odd pair of thongs. I also make sure I take along my favourite lip gloss, a little make up and sunscreen.
