Yesterday’s Fashion Inspired by the Movies was Bec choice and I’m happy to do 500 Days of Summer again! You can see my original post here.

And these are the two sets I’ve come up with for yesterday’s challenge.

With this first set I’ve used quite similar pieces and I adore those wing-tip ballet flats.

I love the wardrobe styling throughout this movie. Its just so sweet.

I loved this movie when it first came out despite the fact that I am a pretty big fan of Romantic films and this one breaks the mould. After seeing it I wondered if deep down I was a dirty rotten hipster, this film made me think I might not mind being a hipster if it meant I got to be friends with Tom.

The thing that most intrigued me about this film was the way the look fo the film was put together, it was artful and deliberate with hints of whimsy. So in the outfit I’ve put together below I’ve tried to echo that rather than recreate a specific look. The outfits worn by Zooey’s character Summer do have a retro feel and I have tried to capture that as well.

Movie Inspired Outfit – 500 Days of Summer

Today’s challenge is to create a look inspired by a film, but I’ve gone towards recreating two looks from 500 Days of Summer because I already love the way the outfits are.

I just had to pick the ever lovely Zooey Deschanel, and in particular her role in 500 Days of Summer.

The hints of vintage styling throughout the movie screams femininity and oozes sweetness.

I just love everything about these outfits. Incredibly adorable which evokes a quiet sense of sexiness.

Perfect and definitely something I would wear.
